Advising with empathy and experience
The Ockenden report is published today. In a series of blog articles we will address the background to the review, the findings of the report and explain how events at Shrewsbury & Telford Trust impacted upon hundreds of families over more than 20 years. We will also explore how some of the current challenges facing maternity services could impact upon attempts by the NHS to put these problems firmly in the past. Finally we will reflect upon how the essential lessons from the Ockenden report must be adopted and embraced throughout the NHS in order to ensure that all maternity care can be considerate, compassionate, responsive and safe.
